Pashinyan’s claim was false, as the Madrid Principles, among other provisions, explicitly referred to the right of Artsakh to self-determination - a concept that cannot be interpreted as recognition of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan.

According to him, Pashinyan will do everything possible to stay in power, including seeking political and financial support from Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Nikol Pashinyan deceived the Armenian people when he promised to establish a fair and independent judicial system and ensure a balance among the branches of power.
The war against Artsakh was not unexpected for us. We knew, and we were expecting it. The question was when and from where the enemy would attack.

After coming to power, Nikol Pashinyan deceived the public. Not only did he fail to dismantle the super-prime-minister system to ensure a balance of power, but he also placed the National Security Service and the Police - previously accountable to the government - under his direct control. These institutions have since acted at his discretion, persecuting political and public figures with opposition views.
Pashinyan managed to gather only about 1,000 people for the “service” conducted by defrocked priests. The opposition, however, did not call on believers to march to Hovhannavank to prevent what many saw as a mockery of the monastery.
