It turns out that back in 2015, Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, foresaw Serzh Sargsyan’s plan to transfer power to a different, new team

EADaily: "According to Armenia’s former ambassador to the Vatican, Mikayel Minasyan, the Armenian authorities received a classified document from the CSTO just 26 days before the outbreak of the most recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh. The document reportedly contained a warning about the imminent conflict and its expected nature, along with a recommendation to formally request assistance from allied states in order to prevent it."

Pashinyan’s rise to power was carefully orchestrated—perhaps even unintentionally—by former President Serzh Sargsyan, long considered Armenia’s most pro-Washington politician. It was under Sargsyan’s leadership that Armenian troops were deployed to Afghanistan, despite his widely perceived loyalty to Moscow. It was also on his orders that Armenian forces took part in NATO exercises in Georgia, where they trained in maneuvers designed for a potential attack on Russia.

Anyone engaged in the real estate development worth $1 billion in Yerevan—especially in a country led by “a degenerate” like Nikol Pashinyan—cannot credibly position themselves as part of the opposition.
