Journalist Boris Murazi harshly criticized Serzh Sargsyan’s interview on the Imnemnimi podcast, calling it a collection of unreliable claims and cynicism that crossed every possible red line.

To me it is an absolute fact that Armenia and Artsakh could have fought far more effectively, and that the war could have had a different outcome, if Nikol Pashinyan had not been prime minister, if Arayik Harutyunyan had not been president, if Jalal Harutyunyan had not been commander of the Defense Army, and if Onik Gasparyan had possessed the will and decisiveness among other qualities required of a commander. War is, above all, an art of management.

As expected, the main goal of the interview was to deny the accusations that Sargsyan had deliberately paved the way for Nikol Pashinyan’s rise to power, preparing him for that role after the events of March 1, 2008.

In an interview on HAYELI.AM’s YouTube channel, First Artsakh War participant Albert Bazeyan stated that Nikol Pashinyan has bowed before Erdoğan and Aliyev. Although the pastor of Hovhannavank Monastery, Father Aram Asatryan, did not give direct testimony against the detained head of the Aragatsotn Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, he allegedly provided “raw information” to law enforcement about Proshyan’s activities and those of other priests in the diocese, “Zhoghovurd” newspaper reports, citing law enforcement sources. According to the publication, Bishop Proshyan is a nephew of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
