Nikol Pashinyan 2016: Aghdam Is Our Homeland

In 2016, amid public protests, Nikol Pashinyan sharply criticized then-President Serzh Sargsyan for his willingness to consider mutual concessions in the negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He declared:

“As long as Baku insists that the Azerbaijani flag must be raised in Stepanakert, the notion of ‘mutual concessions’ must be completely eliminated from the Armenian political vocabulary.”

In addition, Pashinyan declared that Aghdam is our homeland.
