Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech in Stepanakert, during which he made a number of notable statements.
“When we speak of the people’s revolution, we must understand it as a pan-Armenian revolution, because the people are the entire Armenian nation — as defined de jure in the Constitution and confirmed de facto by the revolution itself. The pan-Armenian revolution refers not only to what took place in Armenia, but among Armenians around the world,” he said. In his address, the prime minister repeatedly declared, “Artsakh is Armenia, full stop!” according to News Armenia.

“Pashinyan stated that he disagrees with the claim that capital and investment have no homeland. According to him, Armenian capital does have a homeland — it is Armenia and Artsakh — and there are many examples to prove it: Kirk Kerkorian, Vache Manukyan, Eduardo Eurnekian, Samvel Karapetyan, Ruben Vardanyan, and others,” Voice of Armenia reports.

In his speech at the Second Paris Peace Forum on Tuesday, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan responded to an Azerbaijani blogger named Bakhtiyar—originally from the Armenian town of Vardenis—clarifying his earlier statement ‘Artsakh is Armenia, full stop!’” News Armenia reports.
“You said Nagorno-Karabakh is an internationally recognized part of Azerbaijan. This is not true, as the international format of negotiations is the OSCE Minsk Group, which is authorized to determine the final status of Nagorno-Karabakh. Why did your country involve in the negotiation process if Nagorno-Karabakh is already an internationally recognized part of Azerbaijan?” News Armenia quotes Pashinyan as saying.
Regarding his earlier statement, the prime minister noted that he made it after waiting for a year for a response to his proposal that the resolution of the conflict must be acceptable to the peoples of Artsakh, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
“I personally asked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to make a similar statement. Unfortunately, the Azerbaijani leadership continues to claim that Zangezur (Syunik) is part of Azerbaijan, that Yerevan—the capital of independent Armenia—is allegedly an Azerbaijani city, and that Lake Sevan is Azerbaijani,” the prime minister said.

Speaking on the sidelines of a media forum held in occupied Shushi, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev mocked Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan:
“So, Prime Minister Pashinyan - who now claims it would have been better to recognize Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan earlier - once stood in this very stadium in the summer of 2019, before a large crowd, and declared: ‘Karabakh is Armenia. Period.’ And thus, as the saying goes, he signed his own difficult fate,” Aliyev said.
