Final Detail of Ethnic Cleansing in Artsakh
Over the past four years, Armenians who remained in Artsakh were kept under custodial control at the “Dyak” facility, writes Artsakhi public figure Tigran Petrosyan, according to the Aniv Telegram channel.
He claims that residents were banned from moving freely, effectively being held in captivity. Even during deportation, people were not informed of their destination. They were taken to the Hakari Bridge, forced to sign certain documents, and then handed over to the Armenian side. “No matter how some people try to interpret the situation, this is a fact. It was the final detail of ethnic cleansing…,” Petrosyan states.
The Public Tribunal’s Comments
The situation of Armenians held in Azerbaijan demonstrates that under the current authorities, the real protection of our rights is impossible. Mechanisms of international pressure and negotiation are effectively blocked, and all efforts to achieve justice encounter bureaucratic and political obstacles. The Public Tribunal believes that any progress on this issue is possible only after a change of power, when leadership capable of defending the interests of Armenian citizens and ensuring their safe return comes to power.
