Opinion: Where Will Mr. Khudatyan Travel on the Newly Opened Azerbaijani Roads?

Yesterday, Prime Minister Pashinyan and his closest allies were busy trying to convince the public of the supposed benefits of a yet-to-be-signed peace agreement and a still-nonexistent Armenian-American corridor through Azerbaijan to Nakhijevan.

Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures David Khudatyan painted a vivid picture of how Armenia would soon enjoy open roads through Azerbaijani territory.

This reminded me of the people of Artsakh, who, after enduring a months-long blockade, were forced to block the Aghdam road in Stepanakert themselves, refusing humanitarian aid from the blood-stained hands of the treacherous Ilham Aliyev. It’s worth recalling that Samvel Babayan was the one who championed the opening of that road, while labeling Ruben Vardanyan “a parachuted agent” in Artsakh. Today, Babayan dines and drinks well, all while continuing to cheer for Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, Vardanyan, while Vardanyan is held responsible for the Artsakh that did not surrender to the enemy in a Baku military court.

I can already picture Aliyev opening the roads to Mr. Khudatyan, who, alongside Samvel Babayan and other willing collaborators, will happily drive through sites of military 'glory' - something unknown to him - such as the abandoned Stepanakert, ravaged Shusha, and ancient monasteries now turned into mosques. Perhaps this delegation of Pashinyan’s loyalists will even take the opportunity to visit the zoo that Aliyev has constructed in the former capital of Artsakh, in the place of the cemetery of fallen Armenian heroes."

They will be allowed to drive to Baku, to visit a unique performance – trial over the former leaders of Artsakh. They will be allowed to drive to Baku, where they can witness a unique spectacle - the trial of the former leaders of Artsakh.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in a rather festive mood, gave an interview to Fox News.

It turns out he’s doing all of this not for himself...

“I think yesterday’s agreement and declaration contains quite tangible benefits for Iran and Russia, as well, because in case and when this agreement is implemented, for example Iran would have access through railway from the Persian Guld to the Black Sea. And Russia and Iran will get opportunity to have railway connection between the two countries,” he said on Fox News.

Bingo! For this very purpose, our 'well-intentioned' Nikol Pashinyan, alongside Aliyev and other 'macron-scholtz types,' dismantled the Moscow Statements of 2020, surrendered Artsakh, abandoned Armenian POWs, agreed to disarm and cede parts of Tavush, allowed Azerbaijani troops to seize 300 km of Armenian land, and enabled Baku to erase Armenian cultural and religious monuments from the face of the Earth. This is why he plans to withdraw all legal claims against Aliyev - to spare him from being recognized as a war criminal.

Here’s what it was all for - Russia and Iran. Pashinyan was in such a rush that he didn’t even bother to ask Russia and Iran if they actually wanted this 'bloody porridge with American spices.'

Pashinyan’s gang overlooks one simple question: what price will be paid for open roads and sudden friendship with the murderers of our children, sisters, and brothers?

Earlier this year, we were shocked to see people in Republic Square, Yerevan, singing an Azerbaijani song about Karabakh.

"Let’s hope we won’t have to mark the New Year with the Azerbaijani rag waving over the Yerablur military cemetery. Do you really think Pashinyan won’t raise it there just to sign a peace deal with Aliyev?"
