Pashinyan: Armenia has received a proposal from the United States to manage the transport corridor

Armenia has received a proposal from the United States regarding the management of the transport corridor between the territories of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said, as reported by TASS.

"At the moment, the proposal is from the United States, and we are discussing it. We are interested, but no agreement has been reached yet. Can such an agreement be achieved? Yes, it can," Pashinyan stated.

He also noted that the Armenian authorities do not rule out the possibility of establishing a private company to manage the transport infrastructure as part of the future peace treaty with Azerbaijan.

On July 10, Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held talks in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Following the meeting, the two leaders agreed to continue their dialogue and strengthen trust between Yerevan and Baku. According to the press release, both sides acknowledged that negotiations remain the most effective format for resolving all issues related to the normalization of relations.
