Pashinyan and Hakobyan Accused of Using NSS Materials for Blackmail

Arthur Hambardzumyan has accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of interfering in the private lives of Armenian citizens. In response to recent allegations and compromising claims aimed at Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Hambardzumyan stated:

“Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan don’t just read tea leaves. The cryptic hints they post on Facebook are based on information provided by Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS). Information claiming that celibate clergymen have children, engage in sexual activity, pedophilia — even that one had intercourse with his own aunt — lands on Nikol Pashinyan’s desk either from Armenia’s National Security Service or from foreign intelligence services, such as Turkey’s.”

The actions of Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan violate Article 31 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, which states:

“Everyone shall have the right to inviolability of his or her private and family life, honour and good reputation.”
