Speaking in Parliament, Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the Armenia Alliance, accused the current government of promoting a false narrative - portraying themselves as advocates of peace while depicting the opposition as warmongers. According to Manukyan, the authorities are using the rhetoric of "peace" as a form of public hypnosis, aiming to distract the people from real threats to national security stemming from the actions of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s administration. Manukyan also referred to the declaration signed on August 8, 2025, which effectively places the road linking Azerbaijan to the Nakhijevan Autonomy via Syunik under external control. He described the government's narrative about the Washington declaration as a blatant lie.
