During a parliamentary discussion on the Anti-Corruption Committee's report, Anna Grigoryan, an MP from the Armenia Alliance, presented data suggesting rapid and suspicious wealth accumulation among members of the ruling authorities. She pointed out, among other things, an 18 million dram increase in spending on the upkeep of government residences, a $1 million interest-free loan taken by the Minister of Finance, and a $280,000 mansion reportedly owned by the Foreign Minister. Meanwhile, she noted, before coming to power, Ararat Mirzoyan, once had to buy a vacuum cleaner on credit.
