As a result, Artsakh was completely cleansed of Armenians and fell under full control of Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n<p>On May 21, 2025, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, speaking at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, stated that the 2020 trilateral document had been a gentlemen\u2019s agreement regarding the status of Artsakh, but that Pashinyan\u2019s statement in Prague in October 2022 had ruined everything. He stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOn November 9, 2020, many of my colleagues were present in my office, and I said: I don\u2019t care about anyone\u2019s opinion at this moment.
