We live in an era where those who talk most about freedom are the jailers themselves. Pashinyan is one of the loudest so-called \u2018freedom-lovers\u2019 in human history. After orchestrating the 2018 coup, he publicly vowed to fight for the freedom of the Armenian people and to rescue them from the robber-oligarchs who had stolen their children\u2019s future.\nSpeaking in Republic Square, he declared that Azerbaijan would be destroyed if it ever dared to attack Artsakh or Armenia. Addressing the public in Stepanakert, he famously stated: \u201cArtsakh is Armenia, period.\u201d<\/p>\n

What do we have after 7 years of his rule?<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Political repression. No one is allowed to criticize Nikol or his policies. Any politician, public figure, or concerned activist who disagrees with his direction becomes a target. In just seven years, his government has launched more politically motivated cases than were seen in the entire 25 years of Armenia\u2019s independence prior to his rise to power.<\/li>\n
  2. Sponsorship and incompetence. As an opposition figure, Pashinyan used to loudly proclaim that Armenia's political failures were due to unqualified people holding key positions - and he was largely right.\nBut what changed? Today, his team includes everyone from nightclub DJs and travel agents to fast food workers and lawn mowers. Yet you\u2019d struggle to name even ten professionals with proper education, experience, and skills.\nLook no further: the country is effectively being run by a former tabloid journalist who was expelled from university.<\/li>\n
  3. All the oligarchs Pashinyan once accused of corruption and theft are not only free but are actively growing their wealth. The scheme is simple: bow to him, stay silent on political matters, make regular payments - essentially a tithe - to the First Lady\u2019s foundation, and receive the honorary status of a \u201cnoble businessman.\u201d\nThere\u2019s one more condition: publicly recognize Khachatur Sukiasyan (a.k.a. Grzo) as \u201cthe new supreme oligarch of all Armenia.\u201d<\/li>\n
  4. Pashinyan began with \u201cArtsakh is Armenia. Period.\u201d and ended with \u201cWe didn\u2019t lose Artsakh\u2014we gained Armenian statehood.\u201d\nThe same man who once vowed to \u201cdestroy\u201d Azerbaijan has become a symbol of national disgrace, having ceded Artsakh and presided over its de-Armenization.\nThe best sons of the Armenian nation - Monte Melkonyan, Ashot Bekor, Leonid Azgaldyan, Karo Kakhkejyan, and others - gave their lives in the struggle for the liberation of Artsakh.\nEach time, he comes up with new \u201cjustifications\u201d for this grave crime: claiming that international law demanded it; that it was part of a well-thought-out strategy to rid Armenia of the \"collar\" forced upon it by external powers; or that it was done in the name of future peace and to spare Armenian soldiers from dying on the frontlines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Pashinyan is not about freedom, reforms, progress or prosperity.<\/p>\n
